Stephen Miles, President and Founder
After climbing the corporate ladder for 13 years,
Stephen followed God's call into full time missionary service in 1997.
In 2016 he started Connexion with the desire to train, equip and send believers to spread the Gospel.
In his spare time he referees women's college basketball and spends time with his grandchildren.
Sonia Burnell, VP of Logistics
Sonia joined Connexion in 2019 and works as the assistant to Stephen Miles,
focusing mainly as the liaison to India and Africa.
She has coordinated many international trips and has traveled to
Africa 38 times in 23 different countries.
Sonia lives in California where she leads a ladies Bible study,
sews, bakes and enjoys the outdoors and her great-grandchildren.
Mark Hill, VP of Mobilization
Mark is a career missionary having served in Uzbekistan, Malaysia and Thailand.
Mark joined Connexion in 2019 in the role of Vice President of Mobilization.
Mark is in charge of enlisting, training and coordination of mission trips using Americans.
He handles the details of travel, lodging, transportation and conducts training in the host country.
Mark lives in Texas and enjoys reading and spending time with his grandchildren.
Larry Foster, Director of Marketing and Image Management
Larry joined Connexion in 2023 bringing 20+ years of small business marketing experience.
He produces the monthly newsletter, maintains the website and aids in the written materials.
Larry has planted a church, been a pastor in addition to his mission trips.
He and his wife Ginger live in Colorado where they have a puppet ministry and enjoy snowshoeing, hiking and off-roading.
Scott and Jeanie Simpson, Project Coordination and Administration Assistance
Scott and Jeanie joined Connexion in 2024 as project coordinators for mission trips with Americans
and assisting Stephen with administrative duties.
Scott is passionate about men's ministries and leads retreats for men.
Jeanie has been involved in women's ministries for many years and is an aspiring author.
Scott enjoys gardening, making his own salsas and duck hunting.
Jeanie enjoys reading and spoiling grandchildren.
They both enjoy the outdoors together.
